Nanxing Tech Day Brazil: Building the Future of Woodworking

Overview

STI, the authorized Nanxing Machinery distributor for South America, hosted a regional Tech Day event in Arapongas, Paraná — Brazil’s woodworking and furniture manufacturing heartland.

The event brought together cabinetmakers, furniture producers, and woodworking entrepreneurs for a full day of factory visits, live machine demonstrations, and knowledge exchange across multiple production facilities equipped with Nanxing CNC woodworking machinery.

A Different Kind of Industry Event

Unlike trade shows held in exhibition halls, the Nanxing Tech Day format puts participants directly on the production floor. Attendees moved between active workshops and manufacturing plants in the Arapongas area — including facilities at STI and regional furniture producers — observing Nanxing CNC panel saws, automatic edge banding machines, and beam saw solutions running in real production environments.

This event showcased the complete panel processing workflow powered by Nanxing machinery: The process starts with Nanxing CNC cutting solutions, where intelligent nesting boosts material utilization by 1-3% while applying digital labels to assign each panel a unique identifier. Parts then move to automatic edgebanding, before proceeding to the 6-sided drilling center for both drilling and shaping operations. The entire line operates on seamless integrated data flow, significantly improving efficiency and reducing labor and time costs. Participants also exchanged practical insights on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational best practices throughout the event.

The format reflects a belief at the core of Nanxing’s approach to market development: the most convincing demonstration of machinery performance is not a brochure or a showroom — it is a machine doing its job inside a real factory, at production pace, with real operators.

Voices from the Local

Participants included woodworking professionals from Arapongas, Apucarana, Curitiba, and the wider Paraná region.

We had the opportunity to host the Tech Day at our company. We also visited other businesses — Inquim in Arapongas, and then STI. Very productive. Meeting other cabinetmakers, seeing the machines running in practice.

— Lucas Rotter, Co-owner — Armazena Martenaria & DG Soluções, Arapongas

We visited several factories and a production facility where the technology is fully implemented with the Nanxing brand. Everyone here is taking away a bit more knowledge to contribute to growth — for all of us.

— Geraldon — Cabinetmaker, Apucarana

It was wonderful to come and discover all the configurations available. The day gave us a much clearer picture of what’s possible.

— Iã, Representative — Coroteca, Curitiba

Why Arapongas

Arapongas, Paraná, is the most concentrated furniture and woodworking manufacturing cluster in Brazil and one of the most significant in Latin America. The city accounts for a substantial share of Brazil’s domestic furniture production and has become a reference point for modern woodworking automation in the region.

For Nanxing, establishing a strong presence in Arapongas through distributor STI represents a strategic commitment to the Brazilian market — one of the fastest-growing woodworking markets globally, driven by rising domestic consumption of custom cabinetry and furniture and the accelerating adoption of CNC panel processing technology across small and medium-sized workshops.

Nanxing’s South American Footprint

Founded in 1996 in Guangdong, China, Nanxing Machinery has grown into a global manufacturer of CNC woodworking machinery, with distribution networks spanning Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. The company’s product line includes CNC beam saws, automatic edge banding machines, CNC nesting routers, drilling machines, and integrated smart factory solutions — designed to serve production environments ranging from artisan workshops to high-volume industrial lines.

The Brazil Tech Day is part of Nanxing’s ongoing commitment to building genuine, long-term partnerships with distributors and end-users across South America — not just supplying machinery, but investing in the knowledge infrastructure that makes that machinery perform.
